    Sometimes in the late 50's and early 60's, this plaza is favorite place to see new models of cars owned by local sugar hacienderos parked along the perimeter of this plaza.It's a thing of beauty to behold as far as variety of cars displayed to show-off their expensive taste and how they rank among their peers in society. Nowadays, more overseas filipino families have dominated the ownership of nice and expensive cars that clog the highways and local streets of towns and barrios of the country. Folks, time changed... At the southern edge of the plaza toward araneta street stands a memorial statute of u.s. ranger Theodore Vinther who is part of the team assigned to get to the city at all cost who's ultimate sacrifice at bago bridge save the city from destruction by the japanese.
